AbbVie in Ireland

We’re a modern biopharmaceutical company with a significant footprint in Ireland. Redefining what is possible is our business and our passion.

AbbVie now employs approximately 2,600 employees across eight sites in Ireland. Alongside five manufacturing facilities in Cork, Dublin, Sligo and Mayo, three offices in Dublin serve the needs of the company’s Commercial, Supply Chain and Operations activities.

AbbVie’s mission is to use its expertise, dedicated people and unique approach to innovation to markedly improve treatments across a number of therapeutic areas, including immunology, oncology, virology, aesthetics, neuroscience and eyecare.

We harness Irish expertise in complex chemical and biological research, testing discoveries through clinical trials as well as manufacturing many of our medicines and delivery devices here in Ireland.

In this way, Ireland contributes to every part of the medicine discovery process before our commercial team works to make these new treatments rapidly accessible to Irish patients.

Our goal is to help people lead healthier lives and we are proud to be the #12 Great Place to Work in Ireland.
