Well-Being in the Workplace

To face day-to-day challenges, our global Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is here to support you. EAP is a free, confidential service that provides assistance and counseling on personal or work concerns, including stress, grief, chronic illness, relationship and family conflicts or financial difficulties. EAP is available 24/7 to employees and to everyone in their households.

We offer webinars for all employees on a variety of mental health wellness topics to ensure you can be your best self, at work and at home. Leaders are also provided learning opportunities to develop the skills and confidence to identify and support employees struggling with mental health challenges and guide them to the right resources.

Our flexible ways of working can help you work in ways most effective for you. Through Where We Work, our hybrid work model for office-based employees, you have predictable flexibility without sacrificing in-person collaboration. The model typically consists of 3 days in the office, and 2 days of remote work. 

Employee well-being events, such as our global "AbbVie in Motion" exercise challenge, provide opportunities to make connections with colleagues while promoting healthy behaviors. Together, AbbVie colleagues around the world logged more than 19 million physical activity minutes during 2022's four-week team challenge.
