AbbVie’s long-standing sporting partnership with the Sligo Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) and Sligo GAA underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to support the health and well-being of local communities.
AbbVie operates two facilities in Sligo, located in Ballytivnan and on Manorhamilton Road, with many of its more than 600 employees actively participating in the GAA and LGFA or having previously played the sport at various levels.
The partnership includes the AbbVie logo appearing on the senior ladies’ football team jerseys, as well as on the Sligo men’s county GAA senior and U-20 team jerseys.
AbbVie remains the only multinational pharmaceutical company in Ireland sponsoring an inter-county team through its ongoing collaboration with Sligo LGFA and Sligo GAA.
